Client-families can cancel 48 hours prior to service. If cancellations are made less than 48 hours notice, there is a cancellation charge to compensate for the scheduling coordination.

Although there is not a mandatory dress code, each nanny should dress comfortably due to the nature of bending to the child’s level, meal clean up, and child play duties while maintaining a professional image. Mary’s Child & Pet Care, LLC does have a company shirt with logo which ensures both dress requirements are met. Mary is actively working on providing each nanny with a uniform. Mary works with several clothing companies, so there will be times when nannies do not wear the company shirt due to delays in shipments and/or the nanny’s comfort level. Currently, the company shirt is not required, but highly encouraged.

A minimum of 4 childcare hours is required per shift unless a prior arrangement is made. A prior arrangement is made when the family is willing to pay for the 4 hour requirement, despite only needing 3 hours of service or in rare situations that do not result in a company loss.

We offer event childcare to include rehearsal dinner and wedding childcare, hotel, vacation, travel, short notice, long term, emergency care, appointment coverage, overnights, date-nights, and more!

MCPC services Hampton Roads (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, Moyock, Hampton) and northern Virginia area to include Winchester, Frederick County, Warren County, Clarke County and Shenandoah County.

We can let your dogs out and feed them while we are providing childcare, and offer a separate pet care service. On occasion MCPC offers dog and cat boarding. We also provide drop in visits while families vacation or are away. We send fun photos, updates and rates depend on number of potty breaks, walks, medication administration and number of days.

When booking a pet care care service with Mary’s Child & Pet Care, LLC, families receive an estimated quote via email which can include feedings, overnight pet supervision, potty breaks which could be throughout the day depending on if it is a puppy, and any special requests; we reserve those specific times, based on what the family needs. Families appreciate us being able to keep their pets on daily routines and the comfort of being in their own home, especially when they are away for long durations of time around the holidays, or even on “duty days” for our military families that truly appreciate us accommodating their busy schedules. You will also receive lots of fun photos and videos of your pet!
